The wind energy industry has carried out a series of practices and initiatives to fulfil ESG criteria - environmental, social and governance, however the topic of D&I is still a paradigm for sector organizations.

Objective: This paper aims to present how the wind industry can promote D&I to meet ESG criteria, specifically, mapping industry challenges to promote D&I practices.

Method: The research methodology is a qualitative case study with 10 semi-structured interviews from different executive and managerial positions in organizations in the wind energy sector.

Results: The results demonstrated that there are a series of challenges and some ongoing practices, but the gap between these practices and initiatives and the culture of organizations is still a sectoral bottleneck.

Contribution: The scientific and practical contribution of the research lies in presenting a kaleidoscope with 5 main challenges for continuing the discussion of D&I in companies, as well as 10 practices reported by interviewees that unfold into a roadmap for the global wind sector.
2024-03-12T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 Matheus Eurico Soares de Noronha, Juliana de Almeida Yanaguizawa Lucena, Felipe Vieira da Silva, Letícia Jahn Souzahttps://periodicosalumniin.org/LifestyleJournal/article/view/1595Challenges to achieving zero hunger by 2030: the impact of armed conflict on global food security with a focus on the Russo-Ukrainian War2024-05-03T13:25:07-03:00Komlan Edem Agbokloutobeagboklou@gmail.comBurhan Özkanbozkan@akdeniz.edu.trRashmi Gujratirashmigujrati@gmail.com
Objective: This study examines the impact of armed conflicts, particularly the Russo-Ukrainian War, on achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger. The analysis explores how escalating conflicts post-2015 have undermined global efforts toward ending hunger and ensuring food security by 2030.

Method: The research employs a qualitative approach, analyzing data on global armed conflicts and food insecurity rates from 2015 to 2023. It particularly focuses on the escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War and its implications for global food supply chains. The study integrates reports from the United Nations, various NGOs, and other authoritative sources to assess the broader impacts of armed conflicts on food security.

Results: Since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda, the number of armed conflicts has significantly increased, correlating with heightened global food insecurity. Specifically, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine has directly resulted in 1.7 billion people experiencing hunger and 276 million facing severe food insecurity worldwide. This conflict has disrupted agricultural production and global food supply chains, exacerbating the food crisis.

Conclusions: The findings highlight the severe challenges that armed conflicts pose to achieving global food security. With less than a decade remaining until the 2030 deadline, it is imperative to intensify diplomatic efforts to mitigate conflicts, thereby safeguarding progress toward Zero Hunger. The study underscores the necessity of integrating peace-building strategies into the broader framework of sustainable development.
2024-05-02T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 https://periodicosalumniin.org/LifestyleJournal/article/view/1594Pedagogical aspects of improving communication skills of university students 2024-05-03T12:05:30-03:00Myroslava FabianFabian@icloud.comSerhii RabiichukRabiichuk@gmail.comNataliia Mykhalchenko Mykhalchenko@gmail.comNataliia PavlushchenkoPavlushchenko@gmail.comAlina DzhuryloDzhurylo@gmail.comTetiana Soroka Soroka@gmail.com
Objective: pedagogical conditions that contribute to the development of communicative self-sufficiency of students of higher educational institutions.

Method: The theoretical and methodological basis of the study consists of the following components: the basics of the general theory of management and management, the analysis of management in the field of education, as well as the main principles of marketing as a methodology for the activity of any enterprise in the conditions of a market economy, the theory and practice of marketing, marketing concepts in the field of education , as well as work in the field of marketing of additional education and management of educational systems. However, economics is immersed in the social dimension and the environmental dimension, as it uses natural resources as an input for the production process and human activities.

Conclusions: In addition, it presents the trajectory of the concept of sustainable development and the accumulated contributions from world conferences to a reflection on eco-development as a new path for balanced economic growth. This essay points out that it is possible to establish an intersection between the environmental, social and economic dimensions in promoting innovative dynamics of development and sustainability, as pointed out in Rifkin's experience of the Third Industrial Revolution, the ONU contribution to contemporary times with the 2030 Agenda with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the whole of international society.
2024-05-17T00:00:00-03:00Copyright (c) 2024 Evelyn Nunes de Melo Franzen, Elaine Cristina de Oliveira Menezes, Ruan Carlos dos Santos, Richard Adriano Rosahttps://periodicosalumniin.org/LifestyleJournal/article/view/1572Sustainable development objectives (SDG) from the view of Unicentro's administration students2023-08-31T12:08:45-03:00Silvio Roberto Stefanisilviostefano@unicentro.brMarcio Dias de Souzamarciodiass85@gmail.comAndi Rian Silveira andirian.silveira@gmail.comLetícia Padilha de Liz leticia.padilha@redesolarisedu.com.brMarcia Aparecida Zampiermzampier@unicentro.br

Objective: This study aims to explore the awareness and willingness of Management students at Unicentro to engage in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) during their higher education.

Method: The methodology involves assessing the awareness and perceptions of Management students regarding the SDGs through surveys or interviews. This approach aims to understand their perspective on the role of government, states, and educational institutions in promoting sustainability. It also seeks to evaluate the existing communication and educational strategies within the university concerning the SDGs.

Results: The findings reveal a significant gap in communication and guidance related to the SDGs within the institution and among students. While most students possess a basic understanding of the SDGs, they acknowledge a need for enhanced efforts from governments and educational institutions in sustainability strategies. Furthermore, students advocate for the university to assume a leadership role in integrating sustainability into its methodology, practical exercises, and research activities.

Conclusions: The study concludes that there is an urgent need for improved communication and educational initiatives regarding the SDGs at Unicentro.
